Rojava at risk « immanence

The Rojava Emergency Committee is asking that U.S. citizens urge their congressional and Senate representatives, as well as Elliot Engel, incoming Democratic chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, not to withdraw from Rojava. Please do that if you care about the largest stateless nation in the world (which happens to be building what’s probably the largest experiment in anarcha-feminist radical eco-democracy history has seen).

Naples and Hartford in Season: Wadsworth Atheneum

The Matrix gallery in the museum features contemporary works, usually challenging.  The current exhibition by Bouke de Vries, a ceramics conservator and contemporary artist, is War and Pieces

A long table is set formally in the style of the 17th and 18th century, but with
period ceramic groupings with modern adaptations and broken shards.
It culminates in a mushroom cloud in the center.

CT’s legacy of debt was Malloy’s ultimate challenge – The CT MirrorThe CT Mirror

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy would be hounded by the debt-riddled state finances he inherited, pension obligations that would force deficits and tax hikes while leaching dollars from transportation and other programs. But Malloy also would be the first governor in modern history not to saddle future generations with pension costs owed during his administration.

Scott Watson – an untitled poem

Here are these words
set before you as if to
transmit something not
already available from
a media outlet store on
line. I have nothing other
than these words I’ve
made my own by living
a life these words are
telling of. Such words,
they may as well be a
leaf or a butterfly as me.

– Scott Watson

author of Poet Santōka: A Little Big Book (Sendai, Japan, 2018)
This is the first book in English about Santōka.

QUESTION

Body my house
my horse my hound
what will I do
when you are fallen

Where will I sleep
How will I ride
What will I hunt

Where can I go
without my mount
all eager and quick
How will I know
in thicket ahead
is danger or treasure
when Body my good
bright dog is dead

How will it be
to lie in the sky
without roof or door
and wind for an eye

With cloud for shift
how will I hide?
