Hartford architect Tai Soo Kim makes $100,000 donation to plant more trees in Elizabeth Park – Hartford Courant

A Gingko tree, one of 36 trees being planted in Elizabeth Park this week, is settled into the ground by (L-R) Nick Lavallee, Eugene Sanctuary and Miguel Hernandez of Bartlett Tree Experts. The planting of more than 75 trees has been made possible through a $100,000 donation by Hartford architect and park neighbor Tai Soo Kim. (Mark Mirko / Hartford Courant)

For more than 40 years, Hartford architect Tai Soo Kim has started his day with a walk through Elizabeth Park, but last year he realized it was time to give something back when he noticed a diminishing number of trees. He is donating $100,000 to plant more trees in the park.
