feeling sick. & sad to have to add a line to the poem I posted only six months ago.

Safety

You’re not safe on campus You’re not safe at the mall You’re not safe in the classroom You’re not safe at the immigration center You’re not safe at the military post You’re not safe in the lab You’re not safe at the warehouse You’re not safe at the supermarket You’re not safe at the salon You’re not safe at college You’re not safe at the movies You’re not safe at temple You’re not safe at work You’re not safe at the spa You’re not safe in grade school You’re not safe in the street You’re not safe in the navy yard You’re not safe at home You’re not safe abroad You’re not safe in the cafeteria You’re not safe at church You’re not safe at the clinic You’re not safe in the conference hall You’re not safe in the nightclub

The government can’t help you The president can’t help you The congresspersons can’t help you The senators can’t help you The lobbyists can’t help you The nonprofits can’t help you The NGOs can’t help you The state representatives can’t help you The state senators can’t help you The governors can’t help you The mayors can’t help you The judges can’t help you The cops can’t help you The magistrates can’t help you The police chiefs can’t help you The lawyers can’t help you The city council members can’t help you The community activists can’t help you The revolution can’t help you
