Everyone says climate is the most important issue of all, and yet they just carry on as before. I don’t understand that. Because if the emissions have to stop, then we must stop the emissions. To me that is black or white. There are no gray areas when it comes to survival. Either we go on as a civilization or we don’t. We have to change.

We are calling people to read this aloud in small groups so that, together, we can truly understand what is occurring and also recognize that we don’t know what to do. No one does. But if we finally understand this catastrophe that can soon end all life, and are broken open by it entirely, and continue to meet and integrate it together, we come upon the radical possibilities to which each of us is called. Then one by one by one by one, we will change in exactly the ways we are called, will be who it is necessary to be without impediment, will align without withholding with the beings of the natural world and who knows but ….
