A nearly hour-long radio discussion among various points of view ensues here. At the conclusion of the program is information about the #OccupyHartford General Assembly scheduled to take place tomorrow, Wednesday morning at 8:30, October 5, 2011, in Hartford, CT at Bushnell Park (across from the Union Street Train Station). Chris Doucot of the Catholic Worker community in Hartford, proves to be an articulate, thoughtful, intelligent spokesperson for the #OccupyTogether movement. When asked what the message of the occupation is, Chris Doucot replied: “We want economic justice.” When pressed to articulate a message specific to Hartford, he replied further: “Hartford is the insurance capital of the world. How about we have healthcare for all — stop privitizing medical debt, making medical debt consumer debt. That’s something we can do.” ~ yours truly, df
